For a number of months we have been looking for a house in Newport but nothing suitable had been offered to us.
From an unlikely source we were offered a house in Grangetown Cardiff, and within a matter of weeks the house was made habitable, completely furnished and ready for our first tenant. We took on the tenancy agreement from the 1st of August and decided to hold an open evening for all interested on Friday 12th August. I visited the house a few days before the open evening and it seemed impossible we would be ready.

Ready we were. When I arrived for the open evening I was overwhelmed. In three days the house had been transformed. So many people had been generous that we have been able to furnish the house completely with little financial cost to ourselves. The landlord has been very generous putting in new flooring, carpets, kitchen units and offered us a reduced rent etc. we are very grateful to the landlord. The house has been decorated and you will see from the photographs it looks very homely.
About 30 people came to the open evening and shared with us the joy and thankfulness that we as a team felt. We had a time of prayer as we dedicated Bethsharon and the house.
I was able to express appreciation to a number of people who shared the evening with us for the support and encouragement they have given over many months, enabling us to hold on to the vision we have been given.
This is our first Bethsharon house, our desire and prayer is that many more will be released over the years.
